Rapid Prototyping Becomes More Accessible to North Texas Innovators

Euless, TX – October, 18 2011 – Small businesses and innovators in Dallas / Fort Worth will now have a local source for high resolution 3D printing with the introduction of PartSnap. Rapid prototyping services offered by PartSnap greatly reduce product development time and aid in communications between designers, engineers, marketing and sales.

Services offered by PartSnap include 3D printing, laser scanning and urethane casting. PartSnap uses Objet PolyJet (TM) technology to produce 3D plastic models suitable for testing, design validation, or for producing artistic, architectural or medical models. PartSnap offers 3D laser scanning as a means of transferring legacy designs into modern 3D CAD data. Urethane casting can be used to produce multiple models of a design in a near-final manufacturing finish for testing or marketing before investing in costly, permanent tooling. PartSnap was founded by Mike Moussa, PE, a local R&D engineer and US Army veteran who served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as an Infantry Officer before returning to Euless, TX to rejoin his wife, Lauren, and to continue his mechanical engineering career. Mike witnessed a lack of accessibility to rapid prototyping technology for small-to-medium sized companies and for individual innovators. As a strong believer in the power of innovation as a driving force in economic recovery, Mike founded PartSnap as a means of promoting innovation and economy development in North Texas.
